ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Dr Ashdown-Nichol will be leaving Longshore Surgeries at the end of September 2020 due to family commitments. We are looking to recruit her replacement.

I am sure you will join us in wishing Dr Ashdown-Nichol the very best for the future.

When We Are ClosedNHS111

If you need a doctor outside of normal surgery hours dial 111 and your call will be put through to the responsible out-of-hours provider - 'Integrated Care' (IC24). A trained receptionist will take the details of your problem and arrange for a local doctor or nurse practitioner to give telephone advice, to see you at one of the medical bases or arrange to visit you at home if appropriate.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
